No stranger to farming, Tom has spent many years working the land while also cultivating his successful rural real estate career, a career he has enjoyed for some 30 years now. Tom has a wealth of rural knowledge and contacts, having been involved in farming for most of his life in both work and social situations.
Somewhat local identities in rural circles, Tom and his wife Mary are involved in an array of farming events and organisations. They have four children all pursuing their own interests, who have provided ten grandchildren for them to enjoy and who have inherited good academic and sporting skills.
Tom is a keen sportsman and enjoys his involvement in both golf at Waiotira Golf Club, and harness racing. He is a past president of Northland Harness Racing Club and now patron of the club.
